Disclosure

ShepherdReady is reader-supported. Here is exactly how money moves, in plain language.

The short version

Some links to third-party tools on this site are affiliate links, which means we may earn a commission if you buy through them — at no additional cost to you. The price you pay is the same.

Our rules

1. Recommendations are made on merit first. Our #1 password-manager recommendation pays us no commission at all.
2. Every affiliate link sits next to this disclosure or a short version of it. No hidden links.
3. Where a free route exists, we show the free route on the same page, in the same size print.
4. Programs change. We re-check prices, features, and affiliate status every quarter. If a tool removes a feature families rely on — like emergency access — it gets demoted or dropped, commission or not.
5. On videos, the disclosure is spoken in the video itself, not buried in a description.

This disclosure is made under the US Federal Trade Commission's rules on endorsements and testimonials (16 CFR Part 255).
